Rose of Sharon Anointing Oil
This flower from the region of Sharon in Israel is actually not a rose, but is part of the hibiscus family. Its blooms are nonetheless beautiful and glorious, just as Isaiah depicted the Bride of Messiah would be in the millennial reign when she shines forth in all the radiance of her heavenly glory and beauty. Song of Sol 2:1: "I am the rose of Sharon, the lily of the valleys."
The Hebrew word on our label is "Kadosh," meaning Holy. Anointing with oil is an act of consecration, a setting apart of people, places and things for G-d's special purposes, making them Holy unto the Lord.
