These ancient oil lamp replicas come beautifully packaged in a gold gift box with a real olive branch sprig (a sweet symbol of His peace). Also included is a 100% cotton wick coiled inside of the lamp. These lamps are made in Israel of pottery just like the ancients used. Ancient pottery is porous; for this reason the oil in the lamp will eventually begin to seep through the walls. We recommend that the lamp be kept on a small saucer or coaster to prevent damage to whatever surface the lamp is resting on. Also, it is important to trim the wick back to about 1/8" before each use. Never burn the lamp for more than two hours at a time and of course never leave a burning lamp unattended. For best results, pour the oil (not included) into the lamp then allow the wick to soak up the oil for 5-10 minutes before you first light it. We suggest that you use a 1/2 oz. bottle of any one of our wonderfully fragranced anointing oils. Pick your favorite oil to add to this order and you will have the essence and aroma of ancient anointing oils in an ancient oil lamp filling your room.
